Hope and Ewan

Weddings are a celebration of love, where many things come and work together to make the couple's day the most special day of their lives. Thank you to Hope and Ewan for allowing me to create their beautiful florals for their day.
Hope visited my shop a year prior to her wedding without any specific ideas in mind. She was unsure about the flowers she wanted and didn't have a clear vision for her special day. She mentioned that she "likes pink, wants small flowers, and the bouquet to have movement." With this information, I set out to create something beyond Hope's imagination, yet something she couldn't envision her day without.
To create her bridal bouquet, I selected a mix of small, dainty flowers in the palette of soft pinks and whites. This included lisianthus, daisys and ammi. The primary flowers I chose for this arrangement included majolika spray roses, which are known for their delicate petals and romantic appearance. Alongside these, I incorporated astrantia, this provided a unique texture but also contributed to the overall ethereal quality of the bouquet. I also used sweet pea, this flower was great for bringing in a sense of movement and grace to the bouquet, making it feel alive and vibrant. These flowers collectively created a lovely soft feeling, and their lightweight nature allowed for a lot of movement, giving the bouquet a dancy quality that the bride wanted. The overall effect was a breathtaking bouquet that perfectly complemented the bride's gown and the romantic atmosphere of the celebration.
The bridesmaid bouquets mirrored the bride's bouquet but in a smaller size. The pink flowers featured throughout all the arrangements perfectly complemented the bridesmaids' sage green dresses. Each bridesmaid's bouquet was tied with a sage green ribbon to tie everything together.
For Ewan and his groomsmens buttonholes, I used the same majolika spray rose in the soft blush pink as well as a thistle in each buttonhole to add a bit of texture. The pale pink colour of the flower was the perfect accent to the mens suits, standing out against their dark jackets and tying in all of the flowers throughout everyones arrangements to create a beautiful co-hesive piece that continued from person to person.
Finally, Hope and Ewan's lovely daughter, Isla, had just one condition for her flower: it needed to be pink. So for miss Isla, a flower wand was made with a pink lisianthus accomapnied with daisies and astrantia.
